Looks like you got some good weather. Those tree roots on the trail are slippery enough without rain.
I did those two in late April. We had great weather. Sunny and about 75 degrees. We were able to keep the windows down the whole trip. A few days later it rained cats and dogs for the rest of the time we were in the valley.
Yeah the weather was about 65 degrees. There was a closure due to fire risk at 1PM so I had to hit the trails early, I started about 6:45. There was a little bit that was slick, but honestly the logs at Wild Bill I did two weekends ago were slicker.

Amazingly enough I don't see anything on watch duty in the coastal range. Everything is in central and east of there and more in south central Oregon than other areas.
We’ll be hitting Tillamook again if we go up there next spring as planned.

I could be wrong, but the 1 o'clock closures aren't for licensed vehicles.
Not exactly sure on how it effects trails, or if those are designated OHV trails or forest roads.

The camp host said it was all vehicles on the trails, and since it was a holiday weekend they were probably going to have Rangers closing gates and writing tickets so I wasn't taking chances.

Ok, so that more than likely means they are designated OHV trails and not just forest roads.
As close as I live, I've never actually been to that trail system.

There are fire roads that are basically dirt roads and sxs and two wheel trails in between so it would be hard to monitor all of it compared to just shutting it down.

You should go out there sometime. The trails and campsites are pretty nice and the two mentioned are BOH trails so you get badges. 😁

Today I drove home from Moab. Bittersweet. The drive sucked on the way home even though the scenery was amazing. I will miss Moab and cannot wait to get back out there. I ordered several new parts including Metalcloak's HD steering setup, and some other odds n ends that I broke out there. Can't wait to get back out there again.
Long videos, but it's tough to cram 6-7 hours of wheeling into a few minutes. That's why nobody ever sees the rest of the trails, because they only show a few of the major obstacles and nothing else. I tried to shorten these as much as possible, but that seems so hard to do.

Took a road trip to get some new-to-me wheels and tires. Made it home this morning after just over 5 days and approaching 4000 miles round trip. I live in Southern Indiana and the wheels were in Western Wyoming.

So first of all...the wheels

Some Hutchinson rock monsters with 315/70r17 Goodyear Duratraks

After getting the wheels loaded up, I headed North thru the Teton park, then into Yellowstone, and finally Beartooth highway, US 212. I did have a few miles of light unpaved trail action but nothing that required the use of even a locker let alone the t-case.

The next day took me to Devil's Tower, Mt. Rushmore, and the Crazyhorse memorial.

It was a great trip. I saw a lot of beautiful scenery.

Added the bed board and then loaded it up with tools. Going to go help my boy do front brakes in the morning.

This was yesterday…our great nephew got his first ride in a Jeep naked!! It might’ve been his first ride in a Jeep.
Loved his laughter and smiles!!
