At this point I'm hoping for a 2025 Hybrid and/or Hurricane so I can get a 3.6L 2024 for scratch come next year

If I wanted to buy a 70k truck I’d buy a well optioned full-sized truck. If I could get a 4xE in the low 40’s I’d go for it. I would probably not use any gas all week going back and forth to work.

What about No, I do not think that ev/hybrid is the right choice for an off-road vehicle… I am not against EV entirely, as it does serve its place for some folks under certain use conditions…. Just not mine for its function with a Jeep…

EVs and PHEVs are fantastic. But the 4xe system sucks, from personal experience. We have a PHEV SUV as our other car and love it. But it’s not a 4xe. I’ll never buy that system again. I’m very interested in the upcoming fully electric Jeep Recon though.

I am behind…. Had to look this up.

Kind of reminds me of a Rivian.

I could see this appealing to a lot of people who need 4wd/awd, and prefer an SUV.

I fully intend to keep my gasser Gladiator for the long haul, that said... I also intend to buy one of the Recon's when they come out for a daily driver / around town ride.

Hell yes. I just keep waiting for them to publish the estimated range, unless I missed it.

That's exactly what I want to know as well, don't think they've said an estimate yet. I may also intentionally wait until the second year to let the first round of bugs get worked out.

No way to answer because we have no idea what the final product will be or be capable of or even the drivetrain/engine combo.
You are asking about buying a ghost, right now it's vaporware, anything at all said about it will be pure member guessing, speculation or hope.

You know in your heart of hearts that the Gladiator is never getting that motor
Proving my above point - all we have is speculation, yes it will, no it won't and here's why, yes it will and here's why.
We know nothing about it.

Here's what I've said before on the exact same topic - Gladiator 4xe:
Sure there's the JLU 4xe - but seriously wanting that to tow 7,000 pounds, or even 6,000 pounds and hold 1500 pounds in the bed (along side very heavy batteries!)
The Wrangler 4xe in hybrid mode against hills and wind - a whopping 15 mpg. Tow something with that and you'll be looking for gas every hour.
They have to make it very very different from the JLU 4xe to work out. If we had to rely on the gas engine a lot, we'd be going back to a gasser Grand Cherokee.
But to get worse mpg when the batteries run down than even a Gladiator with lift and bigger tires can get - meh. My JT gets better mpg than my wife's JLU does in hybrid mode alone. We rely almost totally on battery and restrict the use of that Jeep to just around town. We're done with any distance driving with it. Not worth it.

Interested, yes. Answer if I would or would not buy one? How can I guess since we have no idea what it will be like.

My wife went 1 day shy of 2 whole months without putting gas in her JLU.
She got 50 mpg if you didn't count the charging. 500 miles on 10 gallons of gas.
It finally went into FORM mode due to lack of gas use.
I got almost 10 gallons in it as I recall. It figured the gas was getting stale - so went into FORM - I told my wife to expect it.
500 miles on 10 gallons - but that's because it got plugged in after each trip and most of her trips got her there, some got her there and part way back before the engine kicked in.
PERFECT for drives of 50 miles - 25 out on battery, 25 back on gas, and charging in the cooler months was only $1.18/charge
In the summer with higher rates, it's about $1.70 (roughly) per charge.
Hard to drive a Jeep 25 miles for under 2 bucks.
But it's the long trips where it doesn't do as well on mpg.
Power and torque abound. More HP and torque than a 5.7 and it's instant. Hit the pedal and GO. Go up mountain roads and not downshift. No transmission hunting as it didn't need to shift up and down to make hills. The torque was there.
Do I regret the 4xe? Not a bit - it's perfect for what my wife uses it for and for out shorter trips around. It's just not great for a 1200 mile trip through several states. Not unless they can make it get better mpg in hybrid mode. But it's a WRANGLER, so it's to be expected. I'm also a realist.
It's a fine PHEV. It's got all of the latest updates and flashes and behaves exactly like it's supposed to. No surprises at all. (well, other than the transmission pan leak but that's a ZF problem and I think it may be resolved unless I am surprised when I look under it after my wife brings it back tomorrow)
