I have Clayton springs in my Mojave with Fox 2.5 Elite Reservoir shocks. I feel like the truck is being tossed around. My Mojave is only street driven. I bought Synergy springs for the front, but have not put them in yet.

Can someone who had Clayton springs in their Gladiator and then switched to Synergy springs give me some feedback in how it rode? Should I also go with Synergy springs in the back? I do put my dirtbike and gear in the back sometimes...

I put the Synergy springs in, I haven't buttoned everything up yet. But they do bow a little. I have had them out 3 times and repositioned, but them but they still bow some. The upper spring isolator's little nub is in the hole.

Is the bow normal for these springs? I am assuming if it is, it is because of how long they are ...

Synergy has a softer spring rate than most of the aftermarket out there.

So you may not be happy with the result.

Just give Synergy a call. They do answer the phone.

I was looking for softer, at least softer than Clayton.

If these don't work out I am think of getting the JLU XR front springs with a 2" spacer. My wife's JLU High-Tide has those spings with a 1" spacer and it rides great. It is actually the ride I am trying to get close to, maybe a hair stiffer. Hers also has ny Mojave shocks in it...

By the way, if anyone lives near me (Brick NJ) and is looking to put Clayton springs in their truck, if you come get them they are yours (no cost).

Bow is normal for JTs. Alot of after market lift kits delete it and label it as a perk. But if you look in the 2in mopar lift instructions it states that both coils should bow if oem isolator pads are installed properly. Also I noticed you went with a full spring change but don't seem to have any weight on the front. I'm having an opposite problem from you. I added a steel bumper and winch and thats too much for the stock springs. i think in your case going to the JLU XR with spacers is gonna be you ideal shot. I'm personally gonna convert to aluminum and get FOX 2.5 Elites from accutune valved to whatever i measure out on a CAT scale. IDK if I'll go 1in synergy spring tho as well, let us know how you like the combo.

Only extra weight I have on the front is a Rubicon 3 piece steel bumper and steel skid plate. I have the Fox 2.5 elites on it also. I will let you know my thoughts on this combo in a couple days, I am going to finish it up tomorrow.

If the shocks need it. i will revavle them myself. I use to do motocross suspension, these socks are actually a lot easier to revalve...

I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out for you as I have Clayton rear springs sitting in my garage now (wanted stiffer for my towing) and the 8863-30 Synergy springs arriving tomorrow. I do have a little more weight in the front, but not much.

Also, their product page does specifically state that no spring bowing should be expected. I'm not sure if a little matters, but interesting that your experience appears to be different.

I have Clayton 1.5 rear springs in the rear already. The front Clayton I just took out were 2.5, the truck still had a hair of rake, maybe 1/4".
My Synergy fronts are the same -30 that you have.

You probably already know this, but the shocks give you more tuning options for how it rides. The springs give you height and available travel before they unseat or fully collapse. They do almost nothing for how it rides unless they are way out of normal range.

Yep, unfortunately these Claytons are way off compared to the rest. I have my 2.5 Fox Elite shocks set all the way soft and it is still way to stiff.

I think they really only would be good for someone with a steel bumper, steel skid plate and heavy wintch. I am simply way to light for these Clayton's, even if I revalve the shocks, it will be to stiff. With all suspension, you start with the correct spring rate for your weight and then you valve for your function (basically speed and type of obstacles).

I actually think I explained some of this on my old suspension website www.ExxtremeMX.com

The website is old and hasn't been updated in years since I gave my friend the business. But the information is still there..
