There’s no consistency between dealerships. I was on my 3rd, and currently don’t really have one. At this point there’s no dealership in the state I would have my Jeep worked on if I had a choice. This may be my last Jeep because their service is gotten so awful. They’re approaching Honda territory which for decades has been officially the worst service in the industry (no idea why, although in my experience it’s true). They are making me make two appointments. One to check for contamination... Then wait for parts.
My dealership told me that there was no diagnostic unless your truck is showing signs of issues, e.g., it’s dead. I questioned that but lost the battle. They also told me I couldn’t have my old pump, because it had to go back to FCA. Others here were given their pump. I was the first at this dealership to order the pump and it took 4 months after they were available. They never called me to tell me it was in. IMHO the whole independent dealership industry needs to go away although the alternative probably wouldn't be any better.
I can’t even get a fucking oil change done without having my truck disabled after the fact. I do all my own work now, unless it’s something I absolutely can’t, like ECU flashes or major warranty work.
