I'd love to see a rack with a canvas top (and netting?) for the dogs!

@BuiltRight needs to test the waters with a 22“ rack that can be plywood skinned or have a canvas top over. Look at all this forum support!
Would not be terribly difficult to bend a set of lugs into the panels that would support a lightweight shelf/deck, or to build a channel that would attach to the panels that would allow decking to slide into the channel with th tailgate down.

My bad, I meant the topper type of Rack like max modular, or like his RTT rack, not the bedside racks.

Put me on the list too, I am interested. The only thing I can think of to add is a quick way to lock (latch) the tonneau cover down so people can't open it and help themselves to what you have in the bed.

probably just a chain with a caribeaner latched onto some tab screwed to the last rail?

You already know I’m interested! Looking forward to it!
Sure do!
Problem with the decked version is you'll only have 7.5" of space above the decked top.
I don't see the whole Decked thing having practical application in a bed as shallow as the Gladiator.

If they built a drop in to replace the rear seat they might have something.
Yea, the shallow bed makes the decked version less enticing, but 7-8" is enough to mount a shovel, hilift, etc, if we get a little creative. Not a priority, though.

Kicking around a number of rear seat options on days when my daughters car seat base isn't installed!
Interested! Put me on the list.
Done!
Gather the Troops . . . I . ?, wait what ? I have no troops . . . so it would most likely be a 1-off project . I might have to search sole local & semi local Fabricators (aluminum being the preferred material . . . or perhaps a Hand-Layed Fiberglass with Kevlar reinforcing would be even better . . . ? Light, Strong, Moldable into any shape - thinking contours of the interior minus the rear seating ! ! ! Hmm, think I just sold myself ! You guys work with Fiberglass ?
I'm afraid I'm not a fiberglass guy! I'm guessing you can find a local fabricator that might be able to get clever with an aluminum setup. Truck is new enough that they may even get excited about it!
I am very interested also in the rack system and bedside setup!

Awesome work @BuiltRight !
Thank you! Got you added to the list for updates!

Don't tempt me! I'm good at chasing the next shiny thing and know it's best for me to finish one project before starting another.

Hope everybody had a safe/fun holiday weekend!

Whoops! Missed page 4..

I'd love to see a rack with a canvas top (and netting?) for the dogs!
A few people have been kicking this around - will explore the idea next!
Would not be terribly difficult to bend a set of lugs into the panels that would support a lightweight shelf/deck, or to build a channel that would attach to the panels that would allow decking to slide into the channel with th tailgate down.
Different from what Steffen is suggesting, but I agree and like that idea. Lugs could be an easy bolt-on attachment that would allow a person to make a simple and inexpensive platform for whatever.
In definitely interested in the bedside storage.
Sounds good, got you added to the list for updates!

Sorry - must have missed ya. Thank you!

Interesting - will explore this a bit. I don't have a tonneau cover. I assume that as long as the tailgate is closed, the cover latch can't be accessed?

Let me try to find the page, but this is an ongoing debate.

This 6 page thread discusses it (https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...ons-answered-on-oem-soft-tonneau-cover.17330/), but this 2 page thread by yours truly I think is what @EPTJ is concerned about. I don't think it locks. https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/mopar-soft-top-tonneau-easily-opened.15897/

Definitely want in on this. Sides and front panels. No trail rail on my Sport S so an option for non invasive mounting is awesome. Have no clue what all I will carry but your list/photos look sufficient.

Good lunchtime reading - thanks!

You'll find a use! What I've noticed on my Ford with the panels is that even if you aren't mounting a bunch of stuff to them, having a bunch of tie-down points for misc straps and bungee cords has been really nice. Got you added!

I just read through all 4 pages. Lots of great ideas and options Please add me to contact list. I do travel and tow an Edge Teardrop Camper so lots of use for this system.
