August '19 build date. I did not have the second detune software update done, partly because "parts not available" for software, when I had it in for the steering box upgrade in '21, and that dealership sucked in general for their service reputation. Also, at Colorado mountain trail elevations, every bit of HP helps, plus not having any issues with the clutch, I didn't want it to leave me in limp mode when I might need it most.

After a week of limited driving. Mine feels the same as it did when I dropped it off. Still same amount of dead space between fully extended to initial engagement. Just not smooth shifting at all. I was really hoping this fix would fix this.
On top of that, as I was backing into my driveway 30 minutes ago, the "service transmission" light came on. I'm hoping this doesn't go into limp mode now. Calling dealership first thing in the morning.

Not good. I've put about 300 miles on mine since picking it up, no issues yet. I've chirped the tires a few times on hard acceleration, but that was with my throttle controller on Ultimate 9, as I wanted to get a feel for how well it was holding under load. Engagement is further to the floor than the old clutch.

I'm glad yours is working out for you. I don't have the throttle controller, maybe I should get one?
I've put about 70 miles on mine since picking it up. Don't want them telling me later, if the light comes on, come in and we'll reset it. There had better be a solution that doesn't require me to visit every few weeks. We'll see I guess.

Ugh. Hate to say it but welcome to the club. Unfortunetly whenever that light comes on more then likely it’s gonna require a reset but on rare occasion it may go out on its own. It’s an issue with the software also I can’t say I’m surprised you hate the new clutch.
Bought mine new post recall disposed the jeep clutch in these JTs pure crap!

Are you running larger tires or a regear? This seems to be the man Culprit for issues most of the time with the service trans light.

also do you have JScan or a tazer?

That's what I've been reading about the indicator light. It's not something I'm going to want to have to go to a dealer and get reset every however often it happens. It's something that shouldn't even happen as long as they took to come up with a remedy in the first place. This should have been worked out.

Mine came with the stock street tires which I upgraded to Mohave take off tires and wheels "33s". I have not done a regear, still have the 3.73. And I do not have a tazer or jscan. I have been thinking about the jscan as of late though.

Called and have an appointment to take it in tomorrow. Have to decide if I'm going to drive it to work tonight or not? Not a decision I thought I'd have to make after a week and less than a hundred miles on it.

it’s terrible no doubt and Jeep should be ashamed it’s going on this long!

not sure the actual size of the stock tires but with the little bigger tires a recalibration in the computer and 6th gear relearn will hopefully clear up your issue now though.

I’d recommend Jscan since your not needing live features lets you do what you need and the interface is user friendly. Also little cheaper.

It took me about 1k miles to get mine straight and a lot of frustration but so far I’ve been 1-2k miles maybe and bunch of roading and it hasn’t come back on yet. 🤞
One other thing I know if 6th gear relearn isn’t done it sets a code but I’m curious if it’s not done or maybe not done properly it starts setting this damn light which also if the battery is disconnect I’d be willing to be the relearn must be done for everything to work as it should.

My jeep went into the shop yesterday for the clutch recall. Just got a call that they have 5 of the 6 parts needed to complete the recall. The last part is on a 2 month backorder...
I’d tell them 100% order me an act clutch set up on jeep dime and install it. No way I’d wait at least 2 months for Jeep junk!

Is there any documentation that the dealership or Jeep will do this?

Some people have had luck getting Jeep to pay for aftermarket clutch’s some not so much. They can’t however expect you to be without you vehicle for 2+ months.
I’m hoping they have given you a loaner at least at this point or offered.

I know of one person in another thread was having issues and they couldn’t come up with a fix so they pretty much bought him a aftermarket clutch and he had a 4x4 shop install it.

It is not impossible but pretty close to it The buy in from Stellantis if it even happens will take way longer than the 2 months he is waiting on the other parts.

curious if owner purchased clutch out of pocket they could Talk dealer into install.
Still better option then recall clutch assembly.

I'm not without a jeep for 2 months. It's going back together after the inspection. Luckily the tech realized that he did not have all the parts before pulling my clutch. So I'll just have to wait until the part comes in. I don't mind because my clutch still seems to be doing well.

I think the sticking point is who is going to compensated the dealership for their time? I would think they still would have to get approval from Stellantis to reimburse them. Then there is the problem of what is still covered by warranty?

I knew of a incident years back of a JK that could not get into alignment. Short of a buyback the owner did not want, they got approval and buy in from FCA at the time to cover and install aftermarket adjustable ball joints. It was a long drawn out process getting a area rep to run this up FCA corporate and back down with an approval. IIRC, basically it had to go through some legal channels the owner had to buy in that it was a one and done type affair and no further warranty would be offered on anything related to the alignment.
