So- where do you hook this up at? ?
There is a couple of companies that makes the plate for the 2gen Eco. But we don't know if they will fit the 3gen Eco.

One could check the part numbers from the gen2 oil filter / cooler/heater assembly and compare it with the gen 3 part number if they wanted to ??

Pretty sure this has already been done and they are different part numbers.

Funny how we're just going full circle again in these threads without a solution.........If it were an easy fix, the engineers would have done it at the factory and gave it a 8,000lb tow rating to beat everyone else in the segment.

It's a major bummer to be honest. The diesel offers so much usable torque, but I guess the reality of derates are the 'nothing can be perfect' disclaimer for our trucks.

Believe me, I feel the pain!

This truck just does everything else so well that I'll put up with the heat issue 2 months of the year where luckily I really don't tow the RV anyway. I do most of my work and traveling when its cool outside.

I'm half temped to buy a 3gen oil filter housing and a plate to see if they match up. This might be a winter project.

Yea pretty sure I gave the exact same response previously. But could not recall the answer. However I can fix the oil temperature problem without issue. I just can’t do it and keep the warranty.

Best and I mean best solution is a closed cooling loop from the pan through an aux pump and cooler and back into the pan. Thermostat controlled. Just need to drill and tap and or Braze a bung onto the pan, route some hoses and place the cooler on the under side of the bed. As stated previously this will 100% solve the oil temps issue. It will also 100% void your warranty… post 100k I’ll look into it.

Ya, I can agree on that solution. I bought the 8yr/125K extended warranty, so no mods engione for me! I figure this truck will either go in the dumpster after I'm done with it because it was a total failure OR I will be able sell it with remaining warranty. If it's a good truck like it has been, I'll likely buy another.

I would try a 2 row radiator. Any radiator for the 3.6L should work as it has the same part number as the 3.0L.

Keeping the coolant temps down slightly might fix it. Somoenes gotta try it first.
