This video speaks of the Wrangler, but the same setup is used in the Gladiator.

Seen the videos before but my speakers look very cheap and bare no resemblance to what is shown in the video. I will post pics of my speakers later this afternoon.

Are we sure the sub in the JT is 10"? I can easily tell the sub in my wifes JL is a 10, it's wide open and branded "alpine" on the grill. But the housing in the JT doesn't look big enough, and I don't intend to crack it open. Her JL has deeper/stronger lows (grrr). Might just be the shape of the cabin though with all that extra space in the back for the bass to reflect. We both have the oem headliner, so that's not it.

^ A lot of people swear to the contrary. I've even seen photos "proving" both points on this forum. Until I see a video of someone removing them from 2 new stock vehicles; I don't know what to believe.

I completely agree with this. I am not going to get into a debate over speakers. I try not to take offense to people telling me I am wrong. Sometimes it is hard.

I don't have a video to prove my findings, so some here will still tell me I'm wrong.

I have changed out the two 3.5" dash speakers and the two 3.5" and two 4" Roll bar speakers in two Gladiators.
Mine - 2020 JTR - 8.4" Radio and Premium Audio Group - $1,845.00 (this is what is says on the window sticker) Alpine Premium Audio System is also listed in the subcategory.

Brother-in-Law - 2021 JTR - Uconnect 4 with 7-inch Touchscreen Display (no option cost) (this is what is listed on the window sticker) 8 Speakers is also listed in the subcategory.

These pictures are exactly what I puled out of both Jeeps. Sorry for no video showing me do it. I do have eight 3.5" speakers and four 4" speakers in my garage, that is all the proof I have. I didn't think I had to validate on a forum.

Just curious, how many channels in the premium amp? And what is the RMS per channel. The basic setup runs the sets of speakers (front left, front right, etc.) parallel to each other which really cuts down the power going to either speaker.

Do all the 3½" speakers have capacitors on them?

Hey All,

I decided to stop by the dealership where I purchased myGladiator from and spoke to their accessories person. His first words to me was that the speakers had the badging on them and that I didn’t have the Alpine speakers. I told him that I had the subwoofer and paid for the Alpine system. He quickly backed off and stated that I do have the Alpine. I said that was very odd, my speakers look just like the one that everyone is upgrading to the Alpine speakers. He assured me that I do have the correct system. Just want to thank everyone for chiming in. There are no badging on any of the speakers including the subwoofer.

Your sales person was thinking of the JL. This is the sub in that. Quite obvious.

This^^

I had the 2019 JL with premium audio, and now I have the 2020 JT with premium audio. The JL had these clearly marked and the JT does not. I can say that the bass and sound from the JL was a lot better than the JT. I am assuming that's because the JT's sub is behind the seat, and the JL was out in the open. With the Gladiator now, I'm thinking of looking for an alternate sub solution to get those low ends back.

Kevin - Negative. None that I could see. I also did not put the capacitors on that came with the replacements. Infinity 3.5 or Kenwood 4

I had a 2020 Gladiator with the stock system and now a 2021 with the Alpine system. The sub and amp are the obvious upgrades, but the 4 inch "woofers" are upgraded from a paper cone to a decent synthetic with a rubber surround while the 3.5 inch "tweeters" look totally different. The sound is improved, but the "woofers" still sound muddy. I replaced all of those speakers with Rockford Fosgate component speakers and gained clarity, but lost bass and some volume. I think they are still underpowered.

Does anyone know the specs on the Alpine speakers and amp? I see someone mentioned earlier that the Alpine system is 2 ohm. If that's true, that would explain a lot of the bass and volume loss. Anyone know how many watts are going to each speaker? The amp is listed as a 9 channel amp with 500+ peak watts. The tech people at Crutchfield think about half of that power is going to the sub. If the remaining power was divided equally to all remaining 8 speakers it should be about 20 watts RMS/speaker. If it really is a 2 ohm system then my speakers are probably getting less than 10 watts RMS each and they can handle 40 watts RMS.
