Looks like he needs to let more air out of the tires and use a higher gear. low gears dig, while the higher gears help you start slow and stay on top of the sand.

Especially if it came from South Florida Jeeps....
You'd think they would know about sand and beaches.

I'd be pissed if I bought a ~$125k 4x4 and got stuck on the beach.

That is a lot of things, but a "4x4" is not one of them.

Does about as well as I'd expect an overpriced mall crawler would do.

The wheels are too big, the tires have too much air, they're giving it too much gas to helping it dig in more. I've always used 4H on sand and had much better results.

Looks like the sand is really dry too. Dry sand makes it tough on any 4wd vehicle. We frequent the beach every other weekend in the summer and I never air down. The only time I even think about it is when we have been without rain for some time.

Get your foot off the frigging gas........ I see the same mistake in snow. Also deflate the tires some. I do have to wonder though if the dual rear axle combination isn't also part of the problem. I drive my JR on the sand with absolutely on problem at all.

You could probably pull the valve cores out of those rear tires, let the front down to 10psi, and lay spank on a 4x4.

Less wheel diameter, or bigger tires for more sidewall.
More sidewall is definitely helpful, but not required. I ran around on the sand all over the place with my Ram DRW3500 rolling on 22.5's aired down. The stiff sidewall did make it sink a little more, but 11K of truck on the sand is not going to perform great!
