I think my wife and I are finally going to go for getting a small travel trailer, so I'll finally need a controller. I was going to just go for the official MOPAR one since it kind of seamlessly fits into the console, but I wondered if other people had other options that are cheaper or better.

Cant beat the curt wireless controller for simplicity. Just plugs onto your 7 pin plug, no installation required. Easy to set up and use with a smartphone.

I use the Mopar controller. It seems to work well, but my trailer is very light.

I've been using the Redarc controller in mine for over two years. In that time I've towed several different travel trailers and a boat and it has worked perfectly with everything

I have the Tekonsha Primus IQ. Was $140 installed at my trailer dealer back in '21. Came highly recommended as the guys there also use it. I'm happy with it's performance.

Curt wireless works great.
The only negative I can think of for the Curt is, in order to activate the Manual Braking, your smartphone app needs to be open or you have to install a separate manual brake button somewhere on your dash. For that reason alone, I opted for the factory Mopar brake controller. I never use the 12V plug anyways.

Mopar here as well and was a fairly simple install.

Another vote for Mopar. I just like that it looks like it belongs in the truck. Another point that gets glossed over is that it illuminates which makes it easier to see at night. The Redarc is a good choice too, I had it before the Mopar one came out, and moved it over to our Durango since it needed a controller too.
