Flipped my rear view mirror. Figure it’s good for at least 5hp & 2 mpg. All kidding aside, I’m 6’1” & it does improve the view out the windshield.

Oil in modern vehicles is black after a very short distance, it would be nearly impossible to tell if it had been changed or not without having it analyzed.

Yeah I have to respectfully disagree here. Yes, to be sure of what’s going on you need to have oil analyzed, but I have NEVER had oil turn “black” in any of my new or new to me vehicles. I change every 3-6k miles depending on usage, and use synthetic oil. I live on dirt and have a couple of high revving motors in the mix, including one with a 9k redline that at times gets driven hard. Never, in this car or the Mojave or any other of my vehicles has my oil turned black between changes. A more golden brown, yes, but still clear and looking good. I’ve seen black oil once. At the end of a dipstick in my buddy’s 1971 Duster to which he replied after I had pulled the dipstick and recoiled, “Oh you have to change that stuff?” This after driving the shit out of that slant six for about two years, probably 30k miles, and no oil change obviously.
If oil is black, it has to be either from severe duty, too long between changes, or both, in my experience. So, there’s an analysis for ya...

Short version:

Additives in modern oils (especially synthetics) blacken quickly with heat. Direct injection gasoline and Diesel engines generate soot that turns oil black faster (but won't harm anything else).

How much plasti-dip did you use for all the different lettering? Does the lock still work with a key after the spraying or is it coated over?
I had about a half can or less left over from having done some previous projects; however much was there was just enough to do the whole truck. I haven’t used a key in the lock but don’t see why it wouldn’t work. Plasti dip is just a thin soft coating. It won’t hurt anything.

I tried and mine wouldn’t go. At least not turning harder than I was comfortable with. I’ve heard several people say they’re better flipped but I’m only willing to crank so hard on material that feels like it breaks easily. Is there a trick to this?

Took the Mopar lift off today and installed the teraflex 3.5” lift with falcon shocks. Readjusted my Clayton control arms and track bars. All good to go these shocks are so smooth. It rides great.

So you went from the 2” Mopar to this? What made you do it? What size tires are you running?
