6) Hellwig rear sway bar

6) Hellwig rear sway bar???

Question -Hellwig rear sway bar - where from, how much and what do you think/feel it did for your ride quality?
Looking at the Hellwig site it looks like their sway bars are stiffer than stock.

That means that if anything, ride will be worse, but the truck will lean less in turns and generally have more roll stiffness. It will also decrease articulation.

If you are carrying a lot of weight on a consistent basis (overland build, for example), the Hellwig sway bar is a game-changer.

Has anyone tried applying some silicon lube to where the springs contact the spacers to see if it helps?

For the record, I have about 500 miles on my lift, and am not getting any squeaks.

Received the spacer kit yesterday minus the ProCal, along with a couple other items piled in front of the garage.

I plan on installing it with a buddy in my garage soon.

I applied some and seems to have helped a little. It was a packet of silicon grease so I probably couldn’t get in every crevice. Going to buy some spray and try again. I also want to droop the front axle when I do it this time.

37” BFG at’s going on Friday. The slightly smaller size and 65lb weight won me over. The additional weight of th other tires I was looking at was surprising.

I went with the same C-range version for that exact reason and am very happy with the outcome. I also used weight as a criteria when choosing wheels and managed to only add right around 7 lbs total per corner from the stock JTR A/T setup, most all of it in the wheel itself.

Nice. Did you do mt or at? I’m wanting a 37 that is on the smaller side closer to 36inch and hopefully less weight.

I went with the AT. I have them now in a 35" and they are so quiet and great here in the snow. I really cant complain about them. Someday it would be fun to have another set for off-road with a more agressive tread. Since its my daily driver I wanted to make sure I would not regret it a year from now. Mine get installed this Friday.

37” BFG ko2’s. Added Teraflex Sport Fixed Length Lower Front control arms to correct caster. Actually over corrected and my caster is around 7.5. Drives so much better at highway speeds. No more wandering, but I may have to go with adjustables to dial back the caster. Not sure what effects a high caster will have on the driveshaft, but I’m sure it can’t be a good thing.

Just added 37” BFG AT KO’s with stock suspension… My AEV 2” lift should be delivered soon. The AEV lift is out of stock and on back order through many of the vendors I contacted but MB Auto out of Indianapolis Indiana has a bunch in stock if anyone is looking for them, spread the word!

So my AEV 2” lift just came in for my Mojave. I have the geo correction brackets AND the longer control arms from the mopar lift. With the longer control arms, should I use the middle setting on the geo brackets?

You don't need to use the longer control arms...
The Geometry brackets are intended for use with stock control arm lengths
