I had the same dilemma. i ended up going with 37 KO2's (Load Range C), stock rims, 1.5" leveling kit. stock 4.10 gears. No complaints so far. Some say they are 35's, I disagree, probably 36"s would be more accurate since sitting at 34 psi loaded they are about 35.25 inches . No 35" I have ever seen has been over 35" loaded. Last weekend I average 18.2 MPG on a 400 mile trip through Maryland and Pennsylvania.

I can attest to the BFG's definitely being lighter, and they are on the small end of the 37" range. I went with the 37" KM3's, and was very surprised at how mich lighter they were than the Toyo Open Country M/T's I ran in the same size in my last Wrangler.
How do you like the km3's in different conditions?

I have 35" KO2's on my Max Tow with 4.10's. I average about 18 mpg here in Phoenix. Mostly highway driving and I see 8th all the time and consistently. Like you said, they run a little on the smaller side and lighter which helps. I'm considering going to 37" KO2's once these wear out but overall I'm happy with the 35s. I have a 2" lift so the tires don't look too small.

KO2 35" are more like 34.4".

+1 for the BFG 37's. Yeah, they run a little smaller than other 37's but I've run them on all my work trucks and have never been disappointed in the 20 years doing so. Pic shows the RC 3.5" spring lift. I probably didn't need to go that high but I like the wheel gap better. Stock 4.10 gears. MPG probably 16-17. I do like to occasionally manually shift on the highway if it's windy or hilly. Second pic shows my 2020 with a retro-fit Rubicon suspension with 1.5" spacer up front and a .75" in the rear.

I found the current generation of BFGs are not as good as before. Yes, they run way smaller but they were also heavier.
Example:
BFG KM3 37s only measured 36 1/4” on the stock wheel off the ground and only 35 3/8” on the vehicle on the ground.
BFG KO2 37s measured far smaller on the same wheel at barely over 36” off the ground and 35” on the vehicle on the ground.
Both sets were horrible for balancing and each KM3 proved 5 pounds heavier than my 38x13.50R17 Patagonia MT tires.
The compounds on the BFGs are also super soft and I find it hard to believe they’ll last very long.
BFGs used to be great but seems like maybe things have changed.
Seems like most tire guys see the same concerns over the last couple years.
Maybe I got some bad batches of rubber.

70-80mph highway in 8th gear around Atlanta no problem. The Jeep feels more responsive than when I had the 35x11.5 Nitto Trail Grappler.

How many miles do you guys/gals have on them? I ran 285/75/17 on my Jk on a 5 tire rotation and had tons of tread left when I traded it for my JTRD with almost 55k onto em. Never had any punctures or leaks either. Been flip flopping between the 35/37 when I tire up here soon.

Get the 37. Sure you’ll be happy with the 35s for awhile then they will look small to you and you’ll have to sell em for a loss. Buy once cry once

I had 37 KO2s load range D because I got them before the load range C version came out, with 4:10s, automatic, and a light weight build. I would call it a good temporary setup until you can regear but there is no way I would consider it a permanent setup. I would get the load range C 37s because they are lighter than the load range D. Don’t get the 35s, they look weird and small. You can always regear later, its ok to drive for a few years just not optimum. I went to 4:56s and its pretty close to a stock feel again now but I would probably do 4:88s if I could go back. I am also now looking at the 39s!!! 5.13 gears start to get scary weak with a tiny pinion.

Any problem when it’s flexed? I currently have the 35’s on my Mojave but am thinking about the 37’s next time.

not yet, however I haven’t taken any aggressive trails. I have the AEV 2” kit in my garage pending any major rubbing. I don’t expect to have any with my style of trail riding.
