Called late this afternoon. Was told the tech they had "brought in" to do my clutch recall was working on it. Should be ready first thing tomorrow. Asked what happened to the 2 to 3 days I was told at appointment time..."we got behind". Forty five minutes later, text saying truck was ready for pick up. Of course called back immediately and no answer at dealer. Will pick up tomorrow and see how it is.

These places are terrible. If they tell you to bring it in “today” it should be done long before close of buisness tomorrow. Pending any stupid problems. Literally is a easy job to do…🤦🏼‍♂️

It is. When they told me they brought in a tech to do my clutch I was somewhat surprised. But, also a little relieved that they had someone with specific knowledge to work on my truck, not one of the usual techs that might do 10 other different jobs a day.

You are so right. Had my rear window replaced for the leak...brought in glass guy to do that. Of course he lacerated his hand doing the job and took several extra days to complete. Now they've brought in another tech to work on my truck. Explain to me why I'm going through Stellantis when I could just take it directly to the outside guys and Stellantis just pay them directly. Lol, jk I know why.

Clutch is replaced, but the dealership "put it in gear" and it dies. I had to ask the service manager if he had the right Jeep. Wanted to know if I had any issues with it before, which I've had zero. Says his tech of 40 years is working on it. If it's dying when they shift into gear, it was put in wrong, maybe as easy as shift cables reversed. Even a tech of 40 years can make a mistake, but seriously it's not a difficult job.

Has there always been a gear indicator in the settings that I never found before? It now tells me what gear I'm in. New clutch is smooth. Old throwout bearing was stiff in comparison to the new.

Found another forum thread, part of the new software update added it to the early '21 and older builds. Later '21 through now have had that already.

What year is your Jeep? That was part of the 2nd recall. So yours probably did not have that one. Not a huge deal if you didn't have any problems. My 2018 Wrangler has never had an issue with the clutch from day 1. So for me, the recalls have just been updates. No change in performance. The indicator is nice. My ex wife and brother in law both smoked my clutch badly a few times trying to start out in 3rd gear thinking they were in 1st.
