This will work fine, one thing to be aware of is that the tip on the male cigarette plug is positive 12v. If you just toss it somewhere and the tip touches metal (floor jack or whatever) it can create a short. I know most modern chargers won't power up unless they see a voltage (safety feature), but I chose to not use this method, I do use the 7 pin trailer plug, but without the 12 cigarette pigtail.No need to cut and splice with these.
Automatically connects to the right pins.
